Janod started as a local manufacturer in the depths of the Jura region in France, and is now one of the most established manufacturers worldwide, awarded multiple times for their quality and safe wooden toys! Janod Environmental Policy

Janod Toys are environmental friendly. Just because recycling is not enough, production uses only the right materials in order to avoid waste, such as plastic. The most important contribution of Janod Toys to the protection of our environment is the production policy that is in full compliance with the FSC certification. FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification guarantees that the wood comes from forests that are responsibly managed. This means that the operations are respectful to the environment, workers’ rights and local communities. FSC certification requires a strict and supervised chain of custody and Janod is committed in obtaining it, setting the -very promising- target to have all their wooden and cardboard products FSC certified!
